Armenia is a landlocked country in the Caucasus Mountains. As such, it cannot produce hydrogen from electrolysis of seawater.
Chile
Chile’s Interministerial Council of Green Hydrogen approved the document that updates its National Strategy 2026-2030 which will be available for public comments. The final version will be ready at the end of March 2026. This preliminary document in Spanish has not yet been translated to English.
Argentina
Argentina commissioned Cauchari III, a Solar PV Park in September 2020. As of 02/27/2026 the government website has no information related to production of green hydrogen.
Antigua & Barbuda
Antigua & Barbuda are two small independent islands in the Caribbean. Its official website does not list hydrogen production facilities.
Angola
Angola has substantial oil and gas reserves as well as abundant mineral resources, including diamonds, phosphates, bituminous substances, iron, copper, magnesium, gold, and ornamental rocks. Andorra is a landlocked principality sandwiched in the Pyrenees between France and Spain. As such, it cannot produce hydrogen by electrolysis of seawater. However, it does have a Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility.
Algeria
As of 02/17/2026, the government has a website dedicated to renewable energies and energy efficiency. However, it appears to prioritize solar energy. Hydrogen is not discussed.
Albania
As of 02/17/2026 the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy does not show a dedicated website on green hydrogen. White hydrogen found in Albania.
Afghanistan
Afghanistan is a landlocked country in Asia. As such, it cannot produce green hydrogen by electrolysis of seawater, and the government does not provide information about hydrogen.
